About me
I'm a digital investigator: I analyse how things work in order to reorganise them. For years that meant redesigning complex IoT and SaaS products — three of those years on a single one.
Now it mostly means design systems, and the part most of them get wrong. A design system only works if the people building the product actually follow it. So I don't stop at the drawing: I write the rules down in a form the tools can read — including the AI assistants that now produce a large share of the interface — so the system holds up in production instead of quietly drifting away from the design.
Motion is where I started, and it's the first thing a design system loses. Mine doesn't.
amaca.design is where I do this in the open: a design system I build, version and publish, in a form both people and AI tools can use. It's free, it's documented, and every change is on the record.
Currently — evolving Amaca, and building a tool that turns any design system into instructions an AI can follow.
